Modified process for warranty and goodwill processing of FleetBoard® components
The warranty and goodwill processing of FleetBoard® components is performed through the usual Mercedes-Benz Service Organization warranty process.
Always comply with the following instructions:
1. Check warranty and goodwill periods
The warranty and goodwill periods are specified in the Mercedes-Benz Warranty manual.
2. Component replacement only after recommendation from FleetBoard® Support
If a fault profile is determined that is not described in XENTRY TIPS, contact FleetBoard® Hotline & Support (+49 (0) 711 17 91999) or FleetBoard® Workshop Support (+49 (0) 7271 981818) and let them guide you through the diagnosis procedure. If the diagnosis conducted with the assistance of Support indicates that a replacement is necessary, you will be explicitly called on to do so. Perform the replacement and document the procedure in the systems.
Always ask the Support employee to give you the ticket number and submit this as an attachment along with the warranty claim. A protracted delay or any missing information such as, e.g. the ticket number may result in rejection in this instance.
3. Documentation of retrofitted equipment in VeDoc
To guarantee that warranty and goodwill cases are processed smoothly and properly, complete documentation in VeDoc must be ensured. It is therefore essential to fully document retrofitted components in VeDoc, complete with the SA code and serial number of the FleetBoard® components.
