Danger ! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Danger ! | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

1 | Apply parking brake | ||
2 | Switch on ignition | ||
3 | Set heater control to warm and switch on blower | see owner's manual.
4 | Tilt cab into repair position
| |||
5 | Unscrew cap (1) | ||
6 | Unscrew drain screw (5) on engine radiator (4) and collect coolant in a container | The old coolant must be drained completely.
7 | Tighten drain screw (5) | Drain screw on engine radiator
8 | Detach coolant hose (7) from coolant pipe (6) and drain coolant from coolant hose (7) | The coolant in the coolant hose (7) has to be drained off so that the air can escape from the cooling circuit.
9 | Attach coolant hose (7) to coolant pipe (6)
10 | Add coolant up to "6cyl. with Allison MAX" (arrow A) marking | Use only coolant of the specified composition.
