As part of damaged part analysis it was found that frequently worn wiper blades are received which are charged to warranty. However as these components are wear parts (see warranty Procedure Manual 1100-89A: Mercedes-Benz new vehicle warranty explanation, 12071-17A), no warranty will be accepted for wiper blades .

A competitive comparison has shown that to some extent the current regulations for Mercedes-Benz go clearly beyond those of the competition.

The Mercedes-Benz wiper systems have a high quality level. The warranty and goodwill policies are therefore adapted to those of the competition.

Should nevertheless in the individual case justified complaints about wipers blades occur due to manufacturing, these are detected very early on by the customer and are the subject of complaint.

The warranty and goodwill policies have been adapted for the following damage codes:

82023 Front aero wiper blade (old)

82A23 Left aero wiper blade (new)

82N23 Right aero wiper blade (new)

82024 Windshield wiper profile rubber

82063 Rear wiper blade

The new regulation reads: 3 months or 8.000 km

If complaints occur after this period of use, these are due to wear and may not be charged via warranty and goodwill.
