Never leave the vehicle unattended on the rollers except in an emergency. Ensure that no one is under the vehicle or near rotating parts during testing. In case of emergency, use the EMERGENCY OFF switch to shut down test stand.

It must be ensured that the brake test when driving is performed as per the country-specific legislation and regulations.
Otherwise, people may be injured or there may be damage to material and the environment.

Measure deceleration values of service brake


The permissible deviation from the larger value may be a maximum of 25 %. A braking effect must be discernible by the time the brake pedal has been depressed by a quarter of its overall travel distance.
Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise.

 Carry out test with engine running so that maximum vacuum is available.
Press brake pedal uniformly. The maximum values prior to the wheels locking up are to be documented.

If deviations are present



Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.

The permissible deviation from the larger value may be a maximum of 50%. When operating the parking brake, a braking effect must be discernible after 3 to 4 notches.
Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise.

 Operate parking brake uniformly. The maximum values prior to the wheels locking up are to be documented.

Vehicles with electrically-operated parking brake


Before operating the electric parking brake, the rear-axle wheels must be driven for at least 10 s by the roller brake test stand so that the brake shoes can be slowly applied.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 To do so , press and hold the switch of the electric parking brake.
The maximum values prior to the wheels locking up are to be documented.
