Modification notes
Bleeding | |||
| Notes on bleeding hydraulic-pneumatic power shift (HPS) | ||
| Notes on hydraulic fluid as per Specification, Sheet 345.0 | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.
1 | Tilt cab | ||
| Notes on tilting the cab | ||
2 | Remove soundproofing above the transmission
3 | Place gearshift into neutral | The gearshift must remain in neutral during the entire bleeding process.
4 | Unscrew both bleed valves (2 and 4) and bleed screws (1 and 3) and check for damage or deformation to cone and then clean | If necessary, install new bleed valves (2 and 4) and new bleed screws (1 and 3).
5 | Screw in bleed valves (2 and 4)
6 | Connect filling hose (I), Y-shaped adapter (K) and receptacle (H) to bleed hose (21) of filling and bleeding unit | Only filling and bleeding units that are approved in GOTIS and are already marked with one of the following adhesive labels may be used:
"HY2" for Romess Rogg GmbH & Co. KG "BOY II MO" for Bodo Stier Hydrotechnik GmbH "NEU HY 2" for GL GmbH
| |||
7 | Move valve lever (10) on the secondary expansion reservoir (5) into bleed position (9)
8 | Switch on filling and bleeding unit | Flush the filling and bleeding unit until hydraulic fluid free of bubbles comes out at the inspection glass (20) of the filling hose (I).
9 | Switch off filling and bleeding unit
10 | Detach Y-shaped adapter (K) and receptacle (H) from filling hose (I)
11 | Connect filling hose (I) to bleed valves (2 and 4)
12 | Remove sealing coupling (14) from service ventilation connection (11) of secondary expansion reservoir (5)
13 | Connect return hose (G) to service ventilation connection (11) and guide to receptacle (H) | The hydraulic fluid must be collected in the receptacle (H) because during the bleeding process it combines with air and can then no longer be poured into the filling and bleeding unit.
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.
14 | Tilt cab back | ||
| Notes on tilting the cab | ||
15 | Wedge return hose (G) under wiper blade (12)
16 | Open both bleed valves (2 and 4) as well as the bleed screws (1 and 3) by one turn
17 | Switch on filling and bleeding unit | For bleeding a filling and bleeding unit with a head pressure of at least 2.5 bar to max. 3.0 bar is required. The flow rate on the vehicle should be 20 to 30 l/h (this corresponds to approx. 1l/120 to 180 s). Observe operating instructions from equipment manufacturer.
18 | Move gearshift lever in neutral position first to left and then to right as far as mechanical end stop, holding gearshift lever at each end position for approx. 30 s | Flush the hydraulic circuit until the hydraulic fluid escapes free of bubbles.
19 | Move gearshift lever in neutral position from right limit stop to left limit stop several times in rapid succession and then hold gearshift lever at each limit stop (left and right) for approx. 20 s | Flush the hydraulic circuit until the hydraulic fluid escapes free of bubbles.
20 | Move gearshift lever in 3rd/4th gear gate first forward and then backward as far as mechanical end stop, holding gearshift lever at both front and rear limit stop for approx. 30 s | Flush the hydraulic circuit until the hydraulic fluid escapes free of bubbles.
21 | Move gearshift lever in 3rd/4th gear gate from rear limit stop to front limit stop several times in rapid succession and then hold gearshift lever at each limit stop (front and rear) for approx. 20 s | Flush the hydraulic circuit until the hydraulic fluid escapes free of bubbles.
22 | Close both bleed valves (2 and 4) and bleed screws (1 and 3) and switch off the filling and bleeding unit
23 | Place shift lever in neutral
24 | Shift through gears several times | Gears: Move the gearshift lever in quick succession backwards and forwards a minimum of 10 times. Gate: Move the gearshift lever to the right and left in quick succession This allows the shift mechanism to center itself. If the shift lever travel is still imprecise (travel detents too soft) then the shift mechanism must be bled again.
25 | Perform a function test | Shift through all gears,
Repeat bleeding (as of operation step 16).
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.
26 | Tilt cab | ||
| Notes on tilting the cab | ||
27 | Detach filling hose (I) from bleed valves (2 and 4) and fit protective caps on bleed valves (2 and 4)
28 | Detach sealing coupling (15) and hand pump (A) with connection hose (B) from fill level connection (7) | Catch escaping oil.
29 | Detach return hose (G) from service ventilation connection (11) | Catch escaping oil.
30 | Connect ventilation coupling (13) of connection hose (B) to service ventilation connection (11)
31 | Using the hand pump (A), extract the oil from the secondary expansion reservoir (5) until only air is being extracted
32 | Detach ventilation coupling (13) and attach sealing coupling (14) to secondary expansion reservoir (5)
33 | Detach hand pump (A) with connection hose (B) and fit sealing coupling (15) on secondary expansion reservoir (5) | Catch escaping oil.
34 | Move valve lever (10) on secondary expansion reservoir (5) into drive position (8)
35 | Install soundproofing over the transmission
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.
36 | Tilt cab back | ||
