Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area.
Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.

Remove engine cover

Remove electrical wiring harness (3) and place to one side

 To do this disconnect electrical connection (2) and unclip electrical wiring harness (3) on cylinder head cover.

Remove leak oil line (1) from injectors and unclip from cylinder head cover

with CODE MO2 (Engine OM 607 DE 15 LA, 66 kW (90 hp) 4000 rpm)

 To do this push in safety clamps (4) (arrow) and detach connection fitting (5) for leak oil line (1) upwards. Safety clamps (4) remain on the injectors. Collect escaping fuel and seal connections.

Detach leak oil line (1) from injectors and unclip from cylinder head cover

with CODE MO3 (Engine OM 607 DE 15 LA, 81 kW (110 hp) 4000 rpm)

 To do this unlock safety clamps (9) (arrow) and detach connection fitting (5). Collect escaping fuel and seal connections.

 Installation: Check sealing ring, replace if necessary.

Disconnect electrical connector on fuel temperature sensor (B50)

Remove connection fitting (6) from leak oil line (1)

 To do this press in lock. Collect escaping fuel and seal connections.

Remove connection fitting (7) from leak oil line (1)

 To do this press in locks. Collect escaping fuel and seal connections.

 Record plug

Remove leak oil line (1)

 To do this for vehicles with code MO1 (engine OM 607 DE 15 LA 55 kW (75 hp) 4000 rpm) or with code MO2 (engine OM 607 DE 15 LA 66 kW (90 hp) 4000 rpm) unclip leak oil line (1) from bracket (8). Collect escaping fuel.

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check fuel system on running engine for leaktightness

 Visual inspection only.
