As from September 2017 (Release 17C) the selection of the preferred service partner in Mercedes me connect Retail (MmcR) is a mandatory field.
Brief description
To optimize the activation process for Mercedes me connect, the selection of the preferred service partner in MmcR is always a mandatory field. The preferred service partner is to be selected during the activation process.
MmcR also prompts the user to select a preferred partner when processing/editing an already-linked vehicle.

This results in the following instructions, which must be observed at all times.
B2B (Fleet cars)
When linking vehicles from fleets, it is necessary to record a preferred service partner. The fleet manager specifies the MercedesBenz service partner responsible for his vehicles. This service partner is to be recorded at the request of the fleet operator. If the services (e.g. Maintenance Management or Telediagnostics) are activated, offers or mailings are sent by Service Management to the fleet operator based on the transmitted vehicle data.
If the fleet operator does not want data to be sent (offers or mailings), the Maintenance and Telediagnostics services are not activated, or are deactivated when existing vehicles are processed.
