Risk of death caused by limbs being caught or crushed by rotating parts when performing tests on the brake test stand

Never leave the vehicle unattended on the rollers except in an emergency. Ensure that no one is under the vehicle or near rotating parts during testing. In case of emergency, use the EMERGENCY OFF switch to shut down test stand.

Measure deceleration values of service brake at front axle


The permissible deviation from the larger value may be a maximum of 25 %. A braking effect must be discernible by the time the brake pedal has been depressed by a quarter of its overall travel distance. In case of deviations, the cause must be identified and rectified subject to separate repair order.
Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise.

 Carry out test when engine is running, so that maximum vacuum is available.

Drive the vehicle off the roller brake test stand

Enter deceleration values of the service brake and parking brake in the maintenance sheet

 If the specified minimum requirements and tolerance limits for the brake system scopes to be tested are not complied with, this must be rejected and rectified, subject to separate repair order after diagnosis has been conducted, and a corresponding findings report has been compiled.
