Step 6

	Disassemble
1	Remove coolant pump	Model 668, 670	AR20.10-D-1271D
		Model 374, 375, 673, 674, 676, 950, 952, 953, 954, 958, 970, 972, 974, 975, 976	AR20.10-W-1271A

2	Pull flange (1) off the bearing shaft (3)		*000589653300

3	Remove circlip (2)
4	Use a suitable drift to press bearing shaft (3) out of the impeller (6) and the coolant pump housing (4)
5	Remove cassette-type seal (5)
	Assemble
6	Oil new bearing shaft (3) at bearing outer race with engine oil and press into the coolant pump housing (4) using a suitable drift	 The bearing shaft (3) must always be replaced. Only press in bearing shaft (3) at bearing outer race.
7	Install circlip (2).
 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
8	Heat flange (1) and press onto bearing shaft (3)	 When pressing on counterhold bearing shaft (3) and observe the distance between the coolant pump housing (4) and flange (1).
		Distance between coolant pump housing and flange (B)	*BE20.10-N-1002-01B
9	Fit new cassette-type seal (5) over the bearing shaft (3) and use a drift (9) to press it in as far as the coolant pump housing (4)	 Check seating of the cassette-type seal (5) on the bearing shaft (3) and in coolant pump housing (4).

10	Press impeller (6) onto bearing shaft (3)	 While pressing on, counterhold bearing shaft (3) and note the gap between impeller and coolant pump housing (A), and the protrusion of the impeller at coolant pump housing (C).

11	Turn bearing shaft (3) at flange (1) and check for smooth running
