5 | Measure height of cylinder head (dimension of cylinder head separating surface to upper edge of cylinder head) | If the dimension is less than the limit value, the cylinder head must be replaced. | |
6 | Inspect valve guides | replace if necessary. | |

7 | Remove valve seat ring with ring seat turning tool | Pay attention to operating instructions of ring seat turning tool. | |
8 | Measure basic bore (D2) | Pay attention to overlap, a new valve seat ring of standard dimension can be used if overlap is the same as the specified overlap. If necessary with exhaust valve seat rings, install repair valve seat inserts. With intake valve seat rings, replace cylinder head. | |

9 | Undercool valve seat ring using liquid nitrogen and heat cylinder head in water bath to approx. 80°C | ||

12 | Install in the reverse order |
