As a new part the windshield surface has a uniform windshield structure and a uniform quality standard applying to all model series.

The windshield surface is subject to an aging process caused by the user which can crucially influence the wiping quality and the service life of the windshield and wiper blades.

Negative influencing quantities of the windshield on the wiping result
a) Damage to and wear of the windshield surface through:
Stone chipping
Scratches, score marks, grooves
Unsuitable cleaning material
Galling of wiper blade
Grinding of exposed spring rails on the windshield due to defective wiper blade

Non-approved accessory products (polish, paint sealing...) may not be used on the windshield surface.
If it is not possible to process the windshield surface due to the depth of the damage (stone chipping, scratches...), the windshield must be replaced after consultation with the customer at his expense.

The screen surface must always be cleaned thoroughly in order to achieve an optimum wiping quantity. In the event of complaints about the wiping quality after the windshield has been cleaned thoroughly, it is advisable to check the angle of incidence of the wiper arms.
Summary:
A windshield surface which is free from damage and regular cleaning of the front windshield is required for a durable high-quality result of wiping.
