1	Unscrew cap (1) from filler neck (2).

2	Plug drain hose onto drain fitting (arrow) of engine radiator.

3	Open drain screw (3) on engine radiator and collect coolant in a suitable container.

4.1	Engine 457.9, 541.9, 542.9 Unscrew drain screw (4) from crankcase at left and right, and collect coolant in a suitable container.

4.2	Engine 906.9, 926.9 Connect drain hose to the drain screw (4.1) on cylinder crankcase, open drain screw (4.1) and collect coolant in a suitable container.

5.1	Retarder without drain fitting Detach both coolant hoses (5) from retarder, and collect coolant in a suitable container.

 Raise vehicle at the front if necessary so that the lines are emptied completely.

5.2	Retarder with drain fitting Remove screw plug (6) from retarder, and collect coolant in a suitable container.

 Raise vehicle at the front if necessary so that the lines are emptied completely.

Pour in coolant

6	Detach drain hose from drain fitting (arrow) of engine radiator and drain screw (4.1).

7	Tighten drain screws (3, 4). Engine 906.9, 926.9  Engine 541.9, 542.9  Engine 457.9  Engine 906.9, 926.9  Engine 541.9, 542.9  Engine 457.9 

8.1	Retarder without drain fitting Attach both coolant hoses (5) to the retarder.

8.2	Retarder with drain fitting Turn-in screw plug (6) on retarder with new sealing ring. Engine 457.9 

9	Pour in coolant in the specified composition up to the edge of the filler neck (2). Engine 457.9, 541.9, 542.9  Engine 906.9, 926.9 

10	Screw cap (1) onto filler neck (2).
