Relocking ATA system

If the vehicle is unlocked with the "Unlock" transmit button on the transmitter key and none of the doors is opened, the vehicle is locked again after approx. t = 40 s and the ATA system is simultaneously reactivated.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Interior protection

Activation of the interior protection is accomplished automatically when the ATA system is reactivated.

The interior protection sensor is not activated if the following states are present:

Non-actuated state of closed tilting/sliding roof (SR) (M12), with code (D27) Glass tilting/sliding roof, driver compartment, not recognized

Non-actuated state of closed rear tilting/sliding roof (SR) (M12/1), with code (D24) Glass tilting/sliding door, front passenger compartment, not recognized

Non-actuated state of closed side windows in driver door and front passenger door via the door control unit, left front (N69/1) and door control unit, right front (N69/2), not recognized

Non-actuated state of closed rear vent window, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment, via the SAM control unit (N10), not recognized

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Interior protection is accomplished with the interior protection sensor, front (B44) with integrated inclination sensor and, on model 639.6, the interior protection sensor, rear (B44/1) with ultrasonic sensor, which reacts to any attempt to enter the vehicle and activates the alarm.

In this case, the interior protection sensor, front (B44) with integrated inclination sensor and, on model 639.6, the interior protection sensor, rear (B44/1) must take into consideration the various loading conditions of the vehicle.

The interior protection sensor can be deactivated by pressing the interior protection switch (B44s1) for t = 100 ms with "Circuit 15 OFF".

Deactivation is activated by illumination of the light emitting diode (LED) in the interior protection switch (B44s1) for approx.
t = 5 s. Deactivation remains active until the next status change of circuit 15.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Towing sensor, inclination sensor

Activation of the towing sensor is accomplished automatically when the ATA system is activated.

The towing sensor is not activated if one of the following states is present:

Non-actuated state of closed tilting/sliding roof (SR) (M12), with code (D27) Glass tilting/sliding roof, driver compartment, not recognized

Non-actuated state of closed rear tilting/sliding roof (SR) (M12/1), with code (D24) Glass tilting/sliding door, front passenger compartment, not recognized

Non-actuated state of closed side windows in driver door and front passenger door via the door control unit, left front (N69/1) and door control unit, right front (N69/2), not recognized

Non-actuated state of closed rear vent window, with code (W32) Electric vent windows in rear passenger compartment, via the SAM control unit (N10), not recognized

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The inclination sensor is integrated in the interior protection sensor, front (B44). An alarm is triggered when the vehicle is raised for towing or when the wheels are unscrewed.

After activation of the towing sensor and expiration of the settling time for the electronic level control (ENR) system, with code (CL0) Rear lowerable and raisable air suspension, the inclination sensor determines the zero level of the vehicle.

When the angle of vehicle is changed to a certain degree, an alarm is triggered. When an alarm is triggered the current angle is taken over as the zero level.

The towing sensor can be deactivated by pressing the towing sensor button (B44s2) for approx. t = 100 ms with "Circuit 15 OFF".

Deactivation is indicated by the LED in the towing sensor button (B44s2) for approx. t = 5 s. Deactivation remains active until the next status change of circuit 15.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rear window monitor

The control electronics in the overhead control panel control unit (N70) monitors the resistance value of the following components:

Heated rear window (R1) in tailgate, with code (W78) Window in tailgate or hinged rear door with wiper/washer system, except code (W50) 2-wing rear-end door, 180 degree, except code (W54) 2-wing rear-end door, 270 degree, except code (W64) 2-wing rear-end door, 95 degree

Heated rear window, left (R1/1) and heated rear window, right (R1/2) in rear-end doors, with code (W78) Window in tailgate or hinged rear door with wiper/washer system, with code (W50) 2-wing rear-end door, 180 degree, with code (W54) 2-wing rear-end door, 270 degree, with code (W64)
2-wing rear-end door, 95 degree

If the heating wire is cut, the resistance increases and an alarm is triggered.

Trailer monitor

Any trailer connected is monitored by the trailer connection unit (AAG) control unit (N28/1), with code (E57) Electrical system for trailer socket. If the trailer is disconnected from the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58) with the ATA system activated, an alarm is triggered.

If a trailer is connected to the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58) after activation of the ATA system, monitoring is accomplished after a waiting period of t = 10 s.

On vehicles with , the ATA system is activated automatically after approx. t = 120 s, when the following two conditions are present:

Status "circuit 15C OFF" is activated.

Vehicle status change from "OPEN" to "CLOSED" recognized.

Reactivation of the ATA system is accomplished automatically following actuation of the "Unlock" transmit button on the transmitter key, when none of the vehicle doors is opened within t = 40 s.
