Complete survey of automatic transmission oil circuit
The illustration here is highly simplified in order to clearly show the automatic transmission oil circuit
S27.10-2513-11
1 Turbine wheel shaft
2 Oil pump
3 Oil pan
4 Oil filter
5 Electrohydraulic control module (valve body N1)
6 Housing labyrinth
Intake side
Turbine wheel shaft (1) drives the oil pump (2). The oil pump (2) sucks oil out of the oil pan (3) through the oil filter (4). The filtered oil is then sucked through the electro-hydraulic control module (5) and the housing labyrinth (6) to the oil pump (2).
S27.10-2514-11
1 Oil pump
2 Housing labyrinth
3 Electrohydraulic control module (valve body N1)
4 Pressure valve
Output side
The oil sucked in is compressed in the oil pump (1). The oil is pumped through the housing labyrinth (2) and through the electro-hydraulic module (3) to the pressure valve (4).
S27.10-2515-11
1 Pressure valve
2 Solenoid / modulation valves
3 Valve
4 Housing labyrinth
5 Multi-disc clutches and multi-disc brakes
Distribution
The pressure valve (1) controls the oil pressure to the solenoid/modulation valves (2). The solenoid/modulation valve (2) provides a certain oil pressure to valve (3) depending on the drive stage to which the transmission is shifted, the slide valve (3) allows the oil to flow on to the housing labyrinth (4) and to the multi-disc clutches or multi-disc brakes (5).
