Assemble countershaft (20).

Attach rear section of transmission housing (10) to assembly stand (30).

Install tapered roller bearing outer race (38) for main shaft (9) into rear section of transmission housing (10).

 Grease the bearing surface of the tapered roller bearing outer race (38).

Install tapered roller bearing outer race (39) for countershaft (20) into rear part of transmission housing (10).

 Grease bearing surface of tapered roller bearing outer race (39).

Secure holding device (29) to main shaft (9) and shift rails with shift forks (8).

Insert main shaft (9) and shift rails with shift forks (8) into rear section of transmission housing (10).

Insert reverse idler gear (18) with needle bearing (17) into rear part of transmission housing (10) such that countershaft (20) can be installed.

Remove holding device (29).

Screw in screw of assembly stand (30) and push main shaft (9) out far enough until countershaft (20) can be installed.

Remove screw of assembly stand (30) and lower main shaft (9).

Screw in screw (M6x30) (31) at front end of reverse idler gear axle (19), and install reverse idler gear axle (19).

Turn reverse idler gear axle (19) until bore is aligned with bolt (15).

Install screw (15).

Remove screw (M6x30) (31).

Position drive shaft (4) onto main shaft (9).

Install 5th and 6th gear shift fork (7) with sliding blocks (6).

 Observe direction of installation for sliding blocks (6). The rounded sides of the sliding blocks (6) must face towards the shift fork mounting.

Install tapered roller bearing outer race (32) without shims (33) for main shaft (9) into front section of transmission housing (1).

Install tapered roller bearing outer race (34) without shims (35) for countershaft (20) into front part of transmission housing (1).

Attach front section of transmission housing (1) to rear section of transmission housing (10).

 Do not use sealant.
Securely bolt the front section of the transmission housing (1) to the circumference of the rear section of the transmission housing (10) using six bolts (16).
Screw in the locking bolts (11) while doing so far enough until the shift rails are vertical relative to the shift forks (8).

Unscrew locking screws (11) approx. 10 mm.

Detach front part of transmission housing (1) from rear part of transmission housing (10).

Remove tapered roller bearing outer races (32, 34) from front part of transmission housing (1) using counter stay (36) and internal extractor (37).

Install determined shims (33) and tapered roller bearing outer race (32) for main shaft (9) into front section of transmission housing (1).

Install determined shims (35) and tapered roller bearing outer race (34) for countershaft (20) into front section of transmission housing (1).

Attach front section of transmission housing (1) to rear section of transmission housing (10).

 Coat sealing surfaces with sealant.
While doing so, screw in the locking bolts (11) far enough until the shift rails are vertical relative to the shift forks (8).

Install bearing pins (3, 21) of 5th and 6th gear shift fork (7) with thread locking compound.

 Align 5th and 6th gear shift fork (7) with bearing pins (3, 21) through opening in front section of transmission housing (1).

Tighten locking screws (11).

Detach transmission from assembly stand (30) and set down in horizontal position.
