Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Clean area around torque converter drain screw (7) and oil pan (1)

Position suitable receptacle under the transmission

Remove drain screw from oil pan (1)

 Collect oil which flows out in a suitable vessel.

Pry overflow pipe (4) off base (arrow) using drift (10)

 Collect oil which flows out in a suitable vessel.

Remove auxiliary oil pump



Remove oil pan (1)

Detach oil filter (5) downwards

Remove overflow pipe (4) from oil pan (1)



Clean

Clean permanent magnets (9) and check for damage

 Replace permanent magnet (9) if necessary.

Clean oil pan (1)


It is essential to clean and degrease sealing surfaces thoroughly. Have the cleaning sprays completely extracted.
Leaks may occur otherwise.

 The sealing surfaces on the oil pan (1) and transmission housing must be free of oil and grease.

Install

Install new oil filter (5) with new O-ring

Install new overflow pipe (4)

 Press new overflow pipe (4) firmly onto the base (arrow) in the oil pan (1). The overflow pipe (4) must latch noticeably.

Install oil pan (1) with new seal (3)


The sprags (6) are only permitted for transmission 722.9 and they may not be mixed up with sprags for other transmissions
Otherwise contact corrosion may occur.

 Replace seal (3) and bolts (2).

 Do not apply sealant on oil pan (1) and transmission housing.
