7 Drain screw

1 Crank engine at crankshaft until the drain screw (7) on the torque converter (8) can be accessed through the opening on the transmission.

For vehicles with code (H08) High-performance A/C, crank engine with counterholder 651 589 00 40 00.

For vehicles without code (H08) High-performance A/C, crank engine using counterholder
651 589 08 40 00.

2 Clean working area around drain screw (7) and torque converter (8).

Ensure scrupulous cleanliness. Otherwise malfunctions may occur or damage to the transmission.

3 Remove drain screw (7) and drain automatic transmission fluid from torque converter (8).

Drain transmission oil completely in hot condition.

Collect gear oil in a suitable container.

4 Screw drain screw (7) into torque converter (8) and tighten using ratchet-ring wrench .

Replace sealing ring.
