Braking moment control circuit

Jack up the vehicle at the rear so that both rear wheels turn freely. Secure the vehicle accordingly!

Engine: Idling

Selector lever in position "D"

Apply full throttle using the accelerator pedal.

If ASR control fails to start:

Move accelerator pedal back to closed throttle position

The rear wheels can be felt to brake and simultaneously the high-pressure/return pump is audible.

The engine speed is regulated to approx. 1000 rpm. The ESP warning lamp in the rev counter flashes.
