 	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition.
2	Drain and collect coolant.		AR20.00-G-1142DD
		 See information from body manufacturer.
3	Remove charge air pipe from the exhaust gas turbocharger to the charge air cooler.		AR09.41-G-1332DD
4	Remove holder (8).	 Bracket to coolant pump	*BA20.10-N-1005-01L
5	Loosen screws at belt pulley (7).	 Bolt, belt pulley to coolant pump	*BA20.10-N-1002-01L
6	Slacken poly-V-belt (6) and remove from belt pulley (7).		AR13.22-G-1202DD
		 Do not remove poly-V belt (6) and the fan.
7	Remove belt pulley (7).
8	Remove clamping device (16) at oil filter housing (17).	 Bolt, clamping device to oil filter housing	*BA13.25-N-1003-01K
9	Remove crankcase ventilation hose (9) at oil separator.
10	Disconnect electrical connector (11) from coolant temperature sensor and expose electrical wiring harness (10).
11	Remove coolant hose (4) from connection piece (2).
12	Remove coolant hose (5) from connection fitting (3).
13	Remove coolant hose (14) from coolant pump (1).
14	Remove coolant line (13) from coolant pump (1).
15	Remove coolant line (15) from coolant pump (1) and oil filter housing (17).	Only if installed.
		 Bolt, oil filter housing to crankcase	*BA18.20-N-1001-01L
16	Remove coolant pump (1) together with connection piece (2) and remove connection piece (2).	 Push holder of bleed line to one side.
		 Installation: Position coolant pump (1) with lower screws, install connection piece (2) on connection fitting (12) and tighten down together with coolant pump (1).

		 Bolt, coolant pump connection piece to cylinder head	*BA20.10-N-1003-01L
17	Remove connection fitting (12) from coolant pump (1).	 Installation: Grease new connection fitting (12).
		ATE brake cylinder paste	*BR00.45-Z-1014-06A
18	Remove connection fitting (3) from coolant pump (1), remove O-rings and temperature control.	 Coolant line, coolant thermostat to coolant pump	*BA20.10-N-1004-01L
19	Check coolant thermostat.	Only for a complaint about the coolant thermostat.

20	Clean sealing surfaces on coolant pump (1) and connection piece (2).	 Installation: Glue seals with sealant to coolant pump (1) and connection piece (2).

21	Install in the reverse order.
22	Start engine and check coolant pump (1) for leaktightness.	 Perform visual inspection.
23	Switch off engine.
