Pry off timing case cover (1).


When prying off the timing case cover (1), do not damage sealing surfaces.
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Remove the rear radial shaft sealing ring.

Clean sealing surfaces at crankcase, oil pan top section (4) and at timing case cover (1).

Check sealing surface at timing case cover (1) for damage.

If damage is present,

replace timing case cover (1).

Install

Apply sealant to sealing surfaces of timing case cover (1) using a squeeze gun.
