Remove/install

1

Remove low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation cooler.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove the air duct housing.

Remove screws (2).

 Screw/nut, exhaust gas turbocharger oil lines

Unscrew screw (4).

 Screw/nut, exhaust gas turbocharger oil lines

Detach vacuum line (5) from bypass flap controller (10).

Seal openings with suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Remove screw (6).

 Screw/nut, exhaust gas turbocharger oil lines

Detach vacuum hose (7) from vacuum line (5).

Seal openings with suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Remove screw (8).

 Screw/nut, exhaust gas turbocharger oil lines

Remove oil feed line (1) from exhaust gas turbocharger (3) and timing case cover (9) and remove with vacuum line (5).

 Installation: Install new sealing rings.

 Assembly tool

Clean sealing surfaces with a lint-free rag.

Seal openings with suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order.

Check and correct engine oil level.


