Remove flywheel/drive plate.

Remove rear cover at cylinder head.

Remove screw (6) and remove fuel line (5) from timing case cover (1).

Remove bleed line (7) from timing case cover (1).

Remove the chain tensioner.

Remove the camshaft housing with camshafts.

Unscrew screw (25) and remove intermediate gear (26).

Remove oil pan.

Unscrew screw (9) and remove oil feed line (8) at timing case cover (1).

Unscrew screw (10) and remove bracket (11) from timing case cover (1).

Remove bolts (23) in reverse order to tightening procedure.

Remove screws (2, 3) in reverse order of the tightening procedure.

Pry off timing case cover (1).


When prying off the timing case cover (1), do not damage sealing surfaces.
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Remove the rear radial shaft sealing ring.

Clean sealing surfaces on crankcase, lower crankcase section (4) and timing case cover (1).

Check sealing surface at timing case cover (1) for damage.

If damage is present,



replace timing case cover (1).



Install

Apply sealant to sealing surfaces of timing case cover (1) using a squeeze gun.

 The pilot bushing must engage in the cutout in the timing case cover (1).

Tighten bolts (2, 3) in order of tightening procedure.
