Remove

1

Remove engine oil fill level sensor(B40/6).

Remove the noise encapsulation from the oil pan (4).

Remove screws (2).

Remove the oil pan cover (3).

Remove the molded seal from the oil pan cover (3).

Remove the screws (1) contrary to the tightening procedure and remove the oil pan (4).

Remove the molded seal from the oil pan (4).



Clean

Clean the sealing surfaces on the oil pan cover (3), the oil pan (4) and the lower crankcase section (5) using a lint-free cloth.


The sealing surfaces must be free of dust and grease.
Otherwise, leakage may occur.

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install

Attach the molded seal to the oil pan (4).

 Use a new molded seal.

Attach the screws (1) by hand as per the tightening procedure until the oil pan (4) comes into contact with the lower crankcase section (5).

Tighten the screws (1) as per the tightening procedure.

Attach the molded seal to the oil pan cover (3).

 Use a new molded seal.

Attach the oil pan cover (3) and attach the screws (2) in a crosswise pattern by hand until the oil pan cover (3) comes into contact with the oil pan (4).

Tighten screw/bolts (2) diagonally.

Attach the soundproofing to the oil pan (4).

16

Install the engine oil fill level sensor (B40/6).
