Remove

Remove transmission.

Engine 654 in model 118, 177, 247 with transmission 724.1

Remove crankshaft Hall sensor (B70).

Counterhold crankshaft at belt pulley/vibration damper with counterholder and loosen screws (2).


Do not use an impact wrench/driver or a similar compressed air tool to loosen the screws (2).
Otherwise, damage to the crankshaft will occur.

 Release screws (2) as per figure in alphabetic sequence (a to h).

 Aid of helper required.

Remove screws (2) and remove flywheel/drive plate (1) with perforated disk (4).

Check rear radial shaft sealing ring for leaks.

If there are problems,



Replace rear radial shaft sealing ring.

Install

Position flywheel/drive plate (1) with perforated disk (4) on crankshaft.

 Replace perforated disc (4).

 The cylinder pin specifies the installation position for the flywheel/drive plate (1) and perforated disk (4).

Screw in screws (2) and tighten as per the figure in alphabetical sequence (a to h).


Do not use an impact wrench/driver or similar compressed air tool to screw in the screws (2).
Otherwise the thread in the crankshaft flange will be damaged.

 Replace screw/bolts (2).

 Counterhold crankshaft at belt pulley/vibration damper with   counterholder.
Aid of helper required.

 Bolt, flywheel/two-mass flywheel/drive plate to crankshaft

Install crankshaft Hall sensor(B70).

Install transmission.
