A General information
For all complaints the following items must always be processed and information required:
Complaint can be reproduced by the workshop? If possible, always in the presence of the customer.
Is a reference vehicle with the same engine available? In order to rule out a series production complaint status.
Does the vehicle correspond to the series production configuration? Example: Installed tuning measure on engine.
Has a corresponding TIPS document been published in "XENTRY TIPS, XT"? Recommended search for the appropriate symptom.
Has further applicable Service Information (SI) been published?
B Complaints about noise in engine
The analysis sheet for engine noises, form OF00.10-P-3000-03A is already used in the repair receptionist process.
The analysis sheet is to be used as guidelines for the necessary questions from the service receptionist to the customer and for documentation in the workshop.
If possible, make a recording of the noise (e.g. camera, etc.).
The filled-out analysis sheet, the sound recordings (if possible) and the performed checks with the corresponding information must always be attached to a TIPS case (if case creation required).
Expenditures for filling out the analysis sheet can be invoiced within the implied warranty/warranty and goodwill period under the following operation number:
02-3952 (model 415, 470, 471, 636, 639, 447, 448)
02-8522 (model 670, 900, 906, 907, 909, 910)
C General complaints (mechanical engine components, engine lubrication, engine cooling, engine management, fuel system, exhaust system)
The following items are to be processed:
Perform quick test.
Stored fault codes are to be processed using XENTRY Diagnosis in accordance with the stored guided test.
Store (print out) all important diagnosis steps and fault freeze frame data.
Deal with complaints without a fault code stored in XENTRY Diagnosis in accordance with any test for symptoms to allow specific diagnosis, and document the measuring results.
ALL stored (printed) diagnostic data and performed checks with the corresponding information MUST be attached to a TIPS case (if case creation required).
