1 | Remove drive unit | ||
The drive unit consists of the drive shaft, multidisk clutch K2, front planet carrier, internal plate carrier, multidisk clutch K1 and multidisk brakeB3. | |||
2 | Remove bolts (17a) and remove oil pump (17) | Mark installation position of oil pump (17). | |
Screw two opposing bolts (17a) into housing (17g) and detach oil pump (17) using a suitable tool. | |||
3 | Unscrew bolts (16a) and remove multidisk brake (16) | Loosen the multidisk brake (16) by applying gentle blows using a plastic mallet. | |
If necessary: | |||

Disassemble/assemble multi-disk brake (16). | |||
4 | Remove seal (1d) | ||
| Install | ||
5 | Place gasket (1d) on torque converter housing (1w) and align | The seal (1d) can normally be reused several times. The seal (1d) must not exhibit any scratches and must not be coated with sealant. | |
6 | Mount multidisk brake (16) onto torque converter housing (1w) | The installation position is predetermined by a dowel pin on the multidisk brake (16). | |

7 | Attach oil pump (17) | Replace radial sealing ring and O-ring (17o). | |
Insert the impeller (17r) in such a way that the chamfer (arrow) points toward the housing (17g). | |||
