3 | Unscrew cap (2) from expansion reservoir (1). | ||
4 | Open drain screw (3) and drain off coolant. | Collect coolant in a suitable container. | |
5 | Tighten drain screw (3) on radiator. | Drain screw to engine radiator | |
6 | Pour in coolant up to the fold (A) or up to the Max. marking on the expansion reservoir (1). | Use coolant of the specified composition only. | |

7 | Screw down cap (2). | ||
8 | Start engine. | ||
9 | Ventilate engine cooling system and monitor coolant level continuously while doing so. | Run engine at varying speeds and increase the coolant temperature to approx. 80 °C. | |
If problems exist, | |||

slowly unscrew cap (2), add missing coolant with engine running then screw on cap (2) again. | |||
The engine cooling system is correctly filled when the coolant is level with the fold (A) or the Max. marking on the expansion reservoir (1). | |||
10 | Switch off engine. | ||
11 | Check engine cooling system for leak tightness. | Visual inspection. | |
12 | Close hood. | ||
