In case of deviation from specified values:



Adjust ignition angle

 Check or adjust ignition angle at specified rpm without vacuum. After tightening the ignition distributor, check the firing point again.

Check idle speed

 Engine: idle
With manual transmission:
Shift lever position: Neutral
With automatic transmission:
Selector lever position: P, refrigerant compressor: OFF
Engine oil temperature: approx. 80 °C

Check/adjust idle speed

 Adjust idle speed using idle air screw (6 or 10).
After each adjustment, briefly operate accelerator and check rpm again.

In case of deviation from specified values:

Adjust idle speed exhaust value

 Pull out locking plug (4), push screwdriver (1) 000 589 14 11 00 downward until adjusting device (3) engages in setting screw (61). Turn setting screw in required direction, release screwdriver and read off idle speed exhaust value.
After each adjustment, briefly operate accelerator and check again.

Turn counterclockwise = leaner
Turn clockwise = richer

After adjustment, a blue locking plug (4), part no. 000 589 59  86, must be installed using the push-in drift.
