Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.

Disconnect connector of fuel outlet line (2) from fuel filter (1)

Pay attention to removal and installation instructions for connector. Collect escaping fuel.

Installation: On model 638 with engine 611.980, connect the fuel outlet line (2) after bleeding the low-pressure fuel circuit.

Loosen hose clamp of fuel inlet line (3) and disconnect

Collect escaping fuel.

Unscrew mounting screw on preheating valve (4)

Move preheating valve (4) out of locking arm and pull off

Pull fuel filter (1) out of bracket

To do so, undo the clamp bolt (5).

Installation: Fill new fuel filter (1) with fuel before installation.

Install in the reverse order

Check leaktightness of fuel filter (1)

Start the engine and run in neutral.
