Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Remove fan cowl.

Remove coolant hoses (2) from radiator (1).

 Collect coolant which flows out.

 Installation: Check clamps of the coolant hoses (2) for re-usability.

If one or more clamps of the coolant hoses (2) cannot be reused,



replace affected clamps.

Remove coolant hoses (3) from the radiator (1).

 To do this, take coolant hoses (3) out of the bracket and hang out of the working area.

Remove coolant hose (9) from cooler (1).

 Collect coolant which flows out.

Replace clamp (8).

Remove hoses of lines to oil cooler of automatic transmission with clamps (7).

 Collect escaping transmission oil. Seal connections.

Remove bracket (13) from the capacitor (5) of the cooler (1).

 To do so, remove screws/bolts (12).

Remove oil cooler of automatic transmission.

Remove condenser (5) from radiator (1).

 To do this, remove bolt (6).

Remove additional cooler (16) from the cooler (1).

Remove the cooler (1) upward.


Carefully remove radiator (1) upward.
Otherwise, damage to the cooler (1), capacitor (5), and additional cooler (16) may occur.

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
