Remove ground line of battery.

Remove trim (2).

 To do so, unclip expansion rivets (1).

 Installation: Check expansion rivet (1) for damage.

Secure radiator package to upper attachment points on both sides.

Detach charge air hose upstream of charge air cooler from charge air pipe.

Remove refrigerant line (3).

Loosen engine mount with integrated front right engine carrier.

 To do so, remove bolts (8) and then screw in again for approx. 10 turns. This allows the engine to be lowered further.

Remove left engine mount.

Pull sliding pieces (11) backward and pull shift cables (9) out of holder.

Detach coolant hose (18) from holder.

Lower engine and transmission (16) at engine support clamp.


Lower the engine and the transmission (16) only far enough to gain sufficient access to the transmission(16).
Otherwise the engine mount with integrated front right engine carrier and the engine may be damaged.
