We have been informed via feedback from the workshops that occasional amounts of AdBlue® have been found in the coolant.

Some vehicles had a very strong odor development coming from the coolant expansion reservoir.

Until now, we have been unable to locate any parts causing the fault.

However, it is assumed that the cause of this problem lies in the poor separation of the coolant and AdBlue® media. For example, this can also occur in workshops when using the same containers.

Even the smallest quantities of AdBlue® in the coolant are enough to damage the coolant or parts of the engine cooling system.

For this reason, we would like to inform you that in workshops it is absolutely essential to ensure that only clean and clearly marked containers and collecting pans intended for this purpose are used for AdBlue® and all other operating fluids, fuels and lubricants, such as coolant, engine oil, transmission oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid and brake fluid.
