As part of ongoing processing optimization for vehicle identification plate ordering, an automatic ordering channel has been undergoing completion since 07.04.2014.
To ensure that orders for vehicle type plates can now also run through the automatic process steps correctly for cars as well, the vehicle data relevant for the order must be checked in VeDoc in order to make sure that the data is up-to-date and complete and, in the event of deviations, this data must be updated, supplemented or corrected.
This is to be performed on the basis of the country-specific vehicle documents or the COC papers for the corresponding vehicle.
If structural modifications have been made to the vehicle which affect data relevant to the vehicle identification plate, this data must be adapted accordingly in VeDoc (identification plate data).
Once all the required data has been correctly entered in the system, the order can be initiated in accordance with the specifications of the theft-relevant parts (DRT) guidelines, and its process through the ordering systems monitored. The documents are documented and archived in the same way as for theft-relevant parts and locking lug orders in accordance with the applicable DRT directives. Each relevant part number is to be taken from the EPC. As of 07.04.2014, only the above-mentioned process is valid.
The responsibility for the contents of vehicle identification plates printed at the factory lies with the ordering party.
If a modification authorization is not present in VeDoc, then the responsible national representative (ELC, MPC etc.) should be contacted. This can then authorize the necessary modifications or updates before the order.
In the event of any queries regarding missing data cards, please submit an XSF query to VeDoc.
