 Depending on the equipment installed one of the following control units will be installed, hereafter referred to as the "audio unit":

- Radio and navigation unit (A2/56), with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio

- COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3), with code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation)

Function requirements

 Status "Circuit 15R ON"

 The "audio equipment" is activated

 To operate the mobile phone, the enabled Subscriber identification module (SIM) card has to be inserted into the mobile phone

Abort of the voice control system (VCS [SBS])

The voice control system is deactivated by pushing the VCS [SBS] switch on the steering column tube module (N80) away from the driver.

The control signal from the VCS [SBS] switch is forwarded to the "audio equipment" via the following components:

- Direct line

- Steering column tube module

- Interior CAN

If the user is in input mode, then he/she can use voice recognition to deactivate the voice control system via the handsfree system microphone group (A67b1) and by using the "Stop" or "Cancel" commands. The voice recognition is located in the voice control system control unit (A35/11).

The voice control system can be deactivated by termination and execution commands, i.e. when, e.g. a telephone number is entered, the "Dial" execution command, or when a telephone book is created, the "Accept" or "Store" termination commands will result in system deactivation.

 You can find a complete list of the commands that are available in the "Linguatronic operator's manual".

 In vehicles with the following codes, the listed voice commands apply likewise:

- With code (390) Linguatronic - English (British)

- With code (391) Linguatronic - French

- With code (392) Linguatronic - Swiss German

- With code (393) Linguatronic - Italian

- With code (394) Linguatronic - Spanish
