Activate anti-theft alarm system, function

6.11.06

MODEL 639.601 /603 /605 /701 /703 /705 /711 /713 /811 /813 /815 up to 31.8.05 with CODE (FZ5) Anti-theft alarm system

Activation is possible by pressing the "Lock" transmit button on the transmitter key, when the following states are present:

Circuit 15C OFF

Non-actuated state of closed ATA hood switch (S62), recognized

Non-actuated state of left front door rotary tumbler microswitch (M14/6s1), recognized

Non-actuated state of right front door rotary tumbler microswitch (M14/5s1), recognized

Non-actuated state of rotary tumbler switch in left electric sliding door ZV actuator (M14/29), with code (T19) Left sliding door, recognized

Non-actuated state of rotary tumbler switch in right electric sliding door ZV actuator (M14/30), with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, recognized

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Non-actuated state of rotary tumbler switch in actuator, ZV tailgate (M14/7), except code (W50) 2-wing rear-end door, 180 degrees, except code (W54) 2-wing rear-end door,
270 degrees, except code (W64) 2-wing rear-end door, 95 degrees, recognized

Non-actuated state of rotary tumbler switch, right rear-end door (S49/6) and rotary tumbler switch, left rear-end door (S49/7), with code (W50) 2-wing rear-end door, 180 degrees, with code (W54) 2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees, with code (W64) 2-wing rear-end door, 95 degrees, recognized

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Following activation, the overhead control panel control unit (N70) performs a self-test of the anti-theft alarm system (ATA), whereby the following inputs and functions are checked:

Self-check of control electronics in the overhead control panel control unit (N70)

Check of engine hood switch (ATA) (S62)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If an illogical condition is recognized when the engine hood switch (ATA) (S62) is checked, it is not evaluated by the overhead control panel control unit (N70) when the ATA system is activated.

If an error occurs during the self-test of the control electronics in the overhead control panel control unit (N70), this is indicated by the turn signal flashing visually after t = 1.5 s.

Activation of the ATA system is indicated visually by the turn signal flashing 3 times.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After activation of the ATA system, the overhead control panel control unit (N70) reads in the following components and "monitors" them:

The EIS control unit (N73) via Controller Area Network bus, class B (interior) (CAN B).

The trailer connection unit (AAG) control unit (N28/1), with code (E57) Electrical system for trailer socket, via CAN B.

The ATA hood switch (S62) via discrete line.

The left front door rotary tumbler microswitch (M14/6s1), available through SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

The right front door rotary tumbler microswitch (M14/5s1), available through SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

The rotary tumbler switch in left electric sliding door ZV actuator (M14/29), with code (T19) Left sliding door, available through SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

The rotary tumbler switch in right electric sliding door ZV actuator (M14/30), with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, available through SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rotary tumbler switch in the actuator, ZV tailgate (M14/7), except code (W50) 2-wing rear-end door, 180 degrees, except code (W54) 2-wing rear-end door, 270 degree, except code (W64) 2-wing rear-end door, 95 degree, available through the SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

The rotary tumbler switch, right rear-end door (S49/6) and rotary tumbler switch, left rear-end door (S49/7), with code (W50) 2-wing rear-end door, 180 degree, with code (W54)
2-wing rear-end door, 270 degree, with code (W64) 2-wing rear-end door, 95 degree, available through the SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

The STH control unit (A6n1), with code (H12) Auxiliary heater (warm water), via CAN B.

The warm air STH control unit (A7n1), with code (HZ1) Auxiliary heater (warm air), available through the SAM control unit (N10) via CAN B.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Relocking ATA system

If the vehicle is unlocked with the "Unlock" transmit button on the transmitter key and none of the doors is opened, the vehicle is locked again after approx. t = 40 s and the ATA system is simultaneously reactivated.

Trailer monitor

Any trailer connected is monitored by the trailer connection unit (AAG) control unit (N28/1), with code (E57) Electrical system for trailer socket. If the trailer is disconnected from the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58) with the ATA system activated, an alarm is triggered.

If a trailer is connected to the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58) after activation of the ATA system, monitoring is accomplished after a waiting period of t = 10 s.
