General function requirements

Status change from "circuit 15 ON" after "circuit 15 OFF"

Ignition OFF common rail diesel injection (CDI) - general

The engine is switched off using the function ignition OFF.

The CDI control unit (N3/9) receives the "tml. 15 OFF" message over the chassis CAN from the EIS control unit (N73) .

Function sequence

The CDI control unit interrupts actuation of the fuel injectors (Y76). Furthermore, the quantity control valve (Y94) and the pressure regulator valve (Y74) are switched by the CDI control unit. In this way the rail pressure is reduced.

At the same time, actuation of the fuel pump (M3) is interrupted by the fuel pump relay (N10/2kS) and power-down of the CDI control unit starts.
