2 | Close shutoff valve for heater feed and return | See owner's manual . | |
3 | Drain coolant | Collect coolant in a suitable container. | |

4 | Support rear section in front of and behind axle | ||
5 | Open both bellows | Only open the bellows on the side of the center bow (8), push together towards the front and rear sections and fix with adhesive tape. | |
6 | Unplug electrical connectors in junction boxes (21) on front section | Mark relative positions of electrical connectors. | |
Installation: Observe relative positions of markings on connectors. | |||
7 | Detach brackets for cable harnesses (22) from podium | Installation: In order to avoid damage when cornering, make sure that the cable harnesses (22) sag by the same amounts. | |
8 | Disconnect compressed-air hoses (23) and store in rear section | Mark relative positions of compressed-air hoses (23). | |
Installation: Observe relative positions of markings on compressed-air hoses (23). | |||
9 | Detach brackets for compressed-air hoses (23) from podium | Installation: In order to avoid damage when cornering, make sure that the compressed-air hoses (23) sag by the same amounts. | |
10 | Unscrew nuts (13) and remove bolts (12) | ||
11 | Remove bracing plate (11) | ||
12 | Unscrew nuts (10) | | |
13 | Remove spacer cylinder (9) | ||
14 | Unscrew nut (18) and detach linkage | ||
15 | Remove retaining clip (19) and detach linkage | ||
16 | Unscrew bolts (17) | ||
17 | Remove cover panel (14) | ||
18 | Unscrew nut (15) | | |
19 | Remove turntable with center bow (8) | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to eyes from steering gear oil spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing steering gear oil. | Unscrew end limit screws by max. 5 turns. Wear safety glasses. | |
20 | Detach power steering hoses (16) from front and rear sections | Collect escaping hydraulic oil in a suitable container. | |
21 | Detach heater hoses (20) from front and rear sections | ||
22 | Remove supporting arms (5) | Installation: The basic setting must be performed on the articulation system before installing the supporting arms (5): | |

23 | Detach hydraulic lines to hydraulic cylinders | ||
24 | Unscrew nuts (4) | | |
25 | Remove bolts (2) with anti-twist lock (3) | ||
26 | Remove slewing ring (1) | Mark any shims installed between the slewing ring (1) and the front section. | |
Installation: Observe markings on shims. | |||
27 | Install in the reverse order | ||
28 | Fill and bleed power steering pump | ||
29 | Adjust angle sensor on articulation system |
