Open rear engine compartment flap

Unscrew cap (1) on steering oil reservoir (2)

Replace cartridge in oil reservoir

 Only when carrying out repairs.

Fill steering oil reservoir with steering gear up to the edge



Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and top up with oil until maximum level is reached

 The engine can only be started with the engine compartment flap open if the safety switch (4) is pressed beforehand.

Top up steering gear oil in oil reservoir.



Connect oil pressure gauge

Turn steering wheel slowly 10 times from stop to stop and observe pressure gauge

 Back pressure when bleeding
from stop to stop

Re-check oil level in steering oil reservoir with dipstick (3)

 The oil level must be between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' marks with the engine running; correct oil level if necessary.
