1	Remove torque converter clutch		AR25.40-W-0100A
2	Secure drive clutch with at least two strip clamps (14)	 The drive clutch only lies loose in the torque converter lockup clutch and can fall out. This is the only way to prevent oil running over the clutch plate.

3	Position torque converter clutch in a vertical position	 The torque converter (5) points upwards.

4	The installed dimension (C) from the torque converter (5) to the connection surface of the torque converter clutch housing	 Carry out measurements at 6 opposed end faces of the tapped hole journal of the torque converter and calculate the mean value from the various measurement results.
		Note installed dimension (C), in the event of deviations from the specified dimension, the difference must be calculated at the same value at the shim (7) of the oil feed flange and the shim (6) of the turbine shaft.	*BE25.40-N-1001-03B
5	Attach hoist to the torque converter clutch		*625589025900
6	Remove torque converter (5)	 The torque converter (5) must not be disassembled.	AR25.40-W-0400-02A

7	Remove shim (7) of oil feed flange and shim (6) of turbine shaft.
8	Remove seal (8) and take off washer (9)
	Check
9	Check torque converter (5) for wear	 Check sealing surface (5.1, arrow) on torque converter (5) for galling of sealing ring (8).
		Check ball bearing (5.2), ball bearing (5.3) and freewheel in stator, thrust bearing (5.4) and ball bearing (5.5) for turbine wheel as well as torque converter lockup clutch (5.6) for wear, replace torque converter if necessary.
	Installation
10	Insert washer (9) and press in sealing ring (8) with drift until it abuts with the torque converter clutch housing	 The lip on the sealing ring must point towards the output, grease lip.

11	Determine installed dimension and axial play of torque converter (5) and insert shims	If torque converter clutch was disassembled: 
		Install retarder of torque converter clutch.	AR25.40-W-0520A
		Install drive clutch of torque converter clutch.	AR25.40-W-0200A
		 Observe installed dimension (C) of torque converter (5) up to the connection surface of the torque converter clutch housing.	AR25.40-W-0400-04A
