Danger! | Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Danger! | Risk of injury from hand being jammed and bruised when tilting cab | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab during tilting. Always tilt cab to end position and secure with safety prop.

Tilt cab | Models 427, 437
2 | Check and correct oil level in torque converter clutch
| |||
3 | Check oil circuit for leaks | Visual inspection.
4 | Connect tester (1) for recording rpm | Do not route connecting cables in rotating and hot parts.
Refer to equipment manufacturer's operating instructions.
5 | Lower cab | Model 408, 418
Lower cab | Models 427, 437

7 | Engage highest gear | ||
8 | Press service brake with the left foot
9 | Check stall speed | Models 408
Models 418, 427, 437 | |||
10 | Apply full throttle with right foot | The test must only be carried out for approx. 10 seconds due to the severe heat build-up in the converter.
Stall speed (engine speed when stalling the vehicle) must be achieved in accordance with engine output.
If the stall speed is up to 600 rpm lower than the specified stall speed, check engine output, stator freewheel may also be defective.
If the stall speed is up to 200 rpm higher than the specified stall speed, the drive clutch is slipping or the torque converter clutch is damaged (stator freewheel slips).
In every case it is necessary to investigate the major assembly or repair it
