01  Compression recorder

 	Remove/install
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
1	Bring engine to operating temperature (approx. 80°C)	 Only test compression pressure when engine is at normal operating temperature.
2	Remove key from the ignition lock
3	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150TS
4	Remove ignition coils		AR15.12-P-2003TS
5	Remove spark plugs
	Replace spark plugs	Model 211	AP15.10-P-1580TS
		Model 219	AP15.10-P-1580TX
6	Attach electrical feed lines on  compression recorder (01) and crank engine with contact switch at  compression recorder	 Crank engine for about 5 seconds to remove combustion residue from cylinders.	AR01.10-P-0110TS

	Checking
7	 Press the compression tester (01) on the tapped bore of spark plug of first cylinder	 The sealing cone of the  compression tester must airproof tapped bore of spark plug.
8	Crank engine with contact switch of  compression tester (01) until the increase in pressure is no longer indicated on  compression tester
9	Carry out the testing procedure in the cylinder order on the remaining cylinders in the same way
10	Compare measurements obtained with the specified pressures	Compression installation tolerance or new value	*BE01.00-P-1001-01B
		Compression pressure permissible difference between individual cylinders	*BE01.00-P-1002-01B
		Compression pressure wear limit or limit value	*BE01.00-P-1003-01B
		 If the pressure measured is less than the minimum compression pressure or if the permissible difference between the individual cylinders is exceeded: 
		Inspect cylinders for leaks.	AR01.00-P-1300TS
11	Install in the reverse order
