| Remove/install | ||
1 | Clean the area around the oil filter housing upper part (3), oil drain screw (2.3) and oil filler cap (2.4)
2 | Unscrew oil filter cover (3.3)
3 | Remove oil drain screw (2.3) and drain oil from oil reservoir (2) | Collect oil with corresponding container.
| |||
4 | Pull oil filter element (3.4) with oil filter housing lower part (3.5) through the oil filter housing upper part (3)
5 | Pull oil filter element (3.4) out of oil filter housing lower part (3.5) | Installation: Replace oil filter element (3.4) and clean oil filter housing lower part (3.5).
6 | Remove filter element (3.2) of vent and breather valve (3.1) | Clean, check filter element (3.2) of vent and breather valve (3.1), replace if necessary.
7 | Install in the reverse order
8 | Unscrew oil filler cap (2.4) and pour in oil through the filler opening up to the center of the oil level indicator (2.1) | Only pour in oil up to the max. center of the oil level indicator as otherwise when the semitrailer is connected, the oil from the semitrailer may overfill oil reservoir (2) and escape from the overfilled oil reservoir (2).
Oil grade and oil reservoir volumes; see "Technical Data" adhesive label (4) on oil reservoir (2).
| Note to adhesive label "Specifications" for rear cooling system | ||
9 | Screw on oil filler cap (2.4)

Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by jamming and burns when working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running | Secure vehicle to prevent it moving off. Always wear appropriate work clothing when working on the vehicle.
11 | Switch manual transmission into neutral, start the engine and allow it to run at a speed of about 1200 rpm, for 2 to 3 minutes | This is necessary so that the hydraulic circuit of the rear cooling system is bled.
12 | Check oil level in oil container (2) at oil level indicator (2.1) | Correct oil level if required.
Oil grade and oil reservoir volumes; see "Technical Data" adhesive label (4) on oil reservoir (2).
| Note to adhesive label "Specifications" for rear cooling system | ||
13 | Turn off engine | ||
14 | Switch on flame starting system fuse, circuit 30 / oil cooler (F1-A2) |
