Remove

 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Turn cap of expansion reservoir to notch "1", release pressure in cooling system and close cap again

Connect air conditioning system exhaust, conditioning and charging equipment and drain air conditioning system

 Note down suctioned off compressor oil quantity.

Clamp off coolant hoses (1)

Cover working area with rags, detach coolant hoses (1) from connection fittings of heat exchanger and place to one side

Detach suction line (2) and pressure line (3) from expansion valve (4)

 Seal openings on suction line (2), pressure line (3) and expansion valve (4).

 Record plug

Unscrew screws (5) and remove expansion valve (4)

 Seal openings of connection lines and expansion valve (4).

 Record plug

Install

Remove stop plugs, position expansion valve (4) and screw in screws (5)


Screw in screws (5) alternately
to avoid tilting the expansion valve (4) on the connection lines.

 Replace sealing rings and coat with compressor oil. Moisten thread of screws (5) with compressor oil.

Remove stop plugs and attach pressure line (3) as well as suction line (2) to expansion valve (4)

 Replace sealing rings and coat with compressor oil.

Attach coolant hoses (1)

 Check coolant hoses (1) and their clamps for damage; replace if necessary.

Remove/install fluid reservoir

 Once the refrigerant circuit has been opened, the fluid reservoir must be replaced.

Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system
