General
The pipe fracture protection solenoid valve is a 3/2-way valve which is normally closed.
It is located together with the preloaded shuttle valve between the Electronic Air-Processing Unit (EAPU) (A18) and the combination brake cylinders (22.01).
The pipe fracture protection solenoid valve is supplied with compressed air through the auxiliary consumer circuit.
Task
Actuation of the pipe fracture protection solenoid valve prevents pressure losses in the parking brake cylinder.
Actuation is through the Electronic AirProcessing Unit control unit.
