Drain coolant
1 Open heater feed line shutoff valves (6 and 7).
For an electropneumatic shutoff valve, the shutoff valve (6) is always open when de-energized, providing the hand wheel for manual control is set to the "open" position.
2 Open heating return flow shutoff valve (8).
3 Open bleed line shutoff valve (9).

4 Remove drain screws (1, 2, 3, 4) on feed and return lines for heating system as well as on engine and automatic transmission, and drain coolant completely.
When disposing of coolant, the legal requirements and local waste water regulations must be observed.

Pouring in coolant
5 Clear drain openings which are blocked by deposits.
6 Screw-in drain screws (1, 2, 3, 4).
Inspect seals of the drain plugs, replace if necessary.

7 Unscrew heater feed line bleed screw (5) and attach drain hose.
8 Prepare coolant in prescribed composition and fill until coolant escapes bubble-free at the breather (drain hose).
