Fill hydraulic unit (8.1) with oil

Connect bleed hose (8.2) from hydraulic unit (8.1) to bleeder valve (7)

Build up the required system pressure using the hand pump of the hydraulic unit (8.1)

 Maintain pressure during the bleeding process.

Open union nut (1) of hydraulic line (2)



 Leave union nut (1) open until no more air bubbles escape, then seal airtight again. Collect hydraulic fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Allow engine to idle

Turn steering to the left and open bleeder (3) of hydraulic line (4)



 Leave union nut (3) open until no more air bubbles escape, then seal airtight again. Collect hydraulic fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Turn steering to the right and open bleeder (5) of hydraulic line (6)



 Leave union nut (5) open until no more air bubbles escape, then seal airtight again. Collect hydraulic fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Turn off engine

Check system pressure, adjust if necessary

 The system pressure can be read off on the pressure gauge of the hydraulic unit (8.1). The system pressure can be increased by opening the hand pump of the hydraulic unit (8.1) or decreased by opening the hand wheel of the hydraulic unit (8.1) .

Detach bleeder hose (8.2) from hydraulic unit (8.1) on bleeder valve (7)

Check/adjust reservoir pressure
