This Service Information is valid for the above-mentioned vehicles in the following countries: CH

We would like to notify you here about the introduction of a download option for updating the XENTRY diagnostic units. With immediate effect you can download the updates on your own through the XENTRY Portal. Updates for the diagnostic units will also be available promptly. The downloads are available in the category "Maintenance & Repair  Diagnosis  Diagnosis Environment  Download Diagnose Update".

The following updates can also be accessed online: Regio DVD.

The updates can be downloaded to a PC in the company, copied onto a USB stick (mind. 64 GB storage capacity), and then installed on the diagnostic units.

The download option replaces the previous PUSH shipment of update data media, which remained effective up to and including update 03/2017. As from update 05/2017, you also have an option, if necessary, to order data media, subject to a fee, from the ELC. An overview with the corresponding part numbers is available in the XENTRY Portal, in the category "Maintenance & Repair  Diagnosis  Diagnosis Environment  Software  Diagnose Update Discs".

Please note that the download will require an Internet connection with sufficient capacity (min. 16 Mbit recommended). Details are available in the technical information in the attachment. We would like to notify you today in advance that the new diagnosis device generation (XENTRY Diagnosis 3, available as from the spring of 2017) enables updates to be loaded online straight on to the unit. In due course, we will notify you of the introduction of XENTRY Kit 3.

Procedural sequence and support

When downloading through the XENTRY Portal you will require person-specific activation. Please use the familiar form for this, the "Application form EVA TIPS VeDoc", which is available in the Information Center on the extranet. Instructions for the update are available in the attached documents. If problems occur during the download or the update procedure using a USB stick, you can contact the Diagnosis User Helpdesk using the familiar contact data ([email protected]).
