Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. | |
1 | Drain coolant | ||
2 | Remove air filter housing | ||
3 | Remove alternator carrier (1) | ||
4 | Remove coolant thermostat (2) | ||
5 | Remove heater return line (9) on cylinder head and on cylinder crankcase | Installation: Apply bolt and washer assemblies (11) then tighten | |

6 | Pull heater return line (9) out of the coolant pump housing (3) | Installation: Replace sealing ring. | |
7 | Remove bolt and washer assemblies (8) and also remove coolant pump housing (3) with seal (4) and attached coolant pump (7) | | |
8 | Remove coolant pump (7) on coolant pump housing (3) | Installation: Replace gasket (6) | |
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
