Remove/install coolant pump

Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove poly-V belt (3)

 Check poly-V belt (3), belt pulley sections and tensioning device for damage dirt, replace if necessary.

Detach coolant hoses (4, 5) at coolant pump (8)

 Inspect condition of coolant hoses (4, 5) and hose clamps, replace if necessary.

6 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive

7 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive

Pry off cap (6) on belt pulley (7)

Remove belt pulley (7)

One of the bolts attaching the coolant pump (8) is located behind the belt pulley (7).



Remove coolant pump (8)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces.

Replace gasket.



Install in the reverse order

Inspect cooling system for leaks


