Check

1

Remove locking pin (93a) and remove plug (93) from filler pipe.

 To do so, break off the plate of the locking pin (93a) using a suitable tool and remove the pin remaining in the plug (93) by pressing downwards.

Refill with approx. 5 liters of transmission oil in advance.

When refilling or changing transmission oil.



Start engine and run briefly in gear range "P" at idle speed and switch off engine.

Start engine and operate service brake.

Briefly shift through drive ranges several times with vehicle stationary and engine idling.

Engage drive range "P".

Insert oil dipstick into filler pipe up to end stop, pull out and read off transmission oil level.


The quantity of oil filled must not be too small or too large.
Otherwise, malfunctions may occur up to transmission damage.


The vehicle must be exactly horizontal in the longitudinal and transverse direction.
Measurement errors occur otherwise.

 When cold, the transmission oil level must be between the "Min."   and "Max."   mark in area (A).

Operate service brake and check transmission oil temperature in gear range "R" or "D" using diagnostic system.

Run engine in gear range "P" at idle speed.

Insert oil dipstick into filler pipe up to end stop, pull out again and read off transmission oil level.

 If the quantity of oil filled is too small or too large, malfunctions and transmission damage can occur.

 The transmission oil level must be between the "Min." and "Max." marks in area (B).

Place plug (93) on filler pipe and press in locking pin (93a) until it latches into place.

 Replace locking pin (93a).
